Slide number/time/date not display in slide show due to character location.
Cause:
Characters are not placed in proper location. Characters for slide numbers, time, or date must be placed on the Slide Master, Handout Master, or Notes Master to be displayed in a slide show.
Solution:
Place the characters for slide numbers, time or date on the Slide Master, Handout Master, or Notes Master.
1) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Master'. (The Master submenu appears.)
2) Do one of the following:
a) Select 'Slide Master'. (The Slide Master screen appears.)
b) Select 'Handout Master'. (The Handout Master screen appears.)
c) Select 'Notes Master'. (The Notes Master screen appears.)
3) Select the desired placeholder location for the slide number, time, or date.
4) To insert slide numbers, select the 'Insert' menu and select 'Page Number'. (The slide page number appears in the selected placeholder.)
5) To insert time and/or date:
a) Select the 'Insert' menu and select 'Date and Time...'. (The Date and Time dialog box appears.)
b) Select the time and/or date format from the 'Available Formats' list box.
Date/Time
c) Click 'OK'. (The selected date/time format appears in the selected placeholder.)
6) To return to the Slide view, select the 'View' menu and select 'Slides'.
